Former Showaddywaddy star calls on sceptics to get vaccinated
Dave Bartram, an ex-Showaddywaddy star, urged people to be vaccinated from his Covid-19 experience.
The former leading singer, 68, retired in 2011 from the band in a video on Twitter.
"I've been suffering from Covid-19 in the last few weeks, which I can assure you is an experience I will never want to repeat," Leicester's clinical commissioning group said in a video.
Dave Bartram, Showaddywaddy's former lead singer, had first-hand Covid experience, something he never wants.
He now urges everyone to receive their vaccinations if they are invited to protect themselves and others.

"We have this virus to stamp out.
We have to beat this virus and vaccination is the only way.
"I urge you to get out and get vaccinated when you are notified of a vaccination.
"Think of others, if you're skeptical.
We want to return to normal.
We want to cuddle people we'ven't been cuddling for months.
"We want to go to football games, rock concerts, festivals, bars, restaurants, and vaccines are the only way we can do this."
The BBC quoted the singer: "It has nothing to do with flu.
It's the brutalest virus I've ever had."
