Businesses Boarded Up in Kenosha as Jacob Blake Shooting Sparks Unrest
Multiple businesses in downtown Kenosha, Wisconsin, have been boarded up amid two nights of unrest and property damage following the police shooting of Jacob Blake on Sunday, August 23. According to local news reports , the National Guard was deployed to assist police as protesters set fire to several buildings and vandalized multiple businesses in response to the shooting. Police issued a curfew on the evening of August 24, running until 7 am the following morning. Blake was taken to hospital in a serious condition, according to a police report .
