This Web App Replaces Online Mentions Of Donald Trump with Lord Voldemort

An app on Google’s Chrome web browser replaces any mention of blundering Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump with ‘He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’.

Trump’s outrageous suggestion of banning all Muslims from entering the U.S. led to him being compared to the bigoted Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort on social media.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling waded in on Twitter to quip: “How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad”.

p>Created by Sarah Xiyi Chen, the Trump2Voldemort Chrome extension banishes all mentions of Donald Trump from the web, replacing them with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, as the Potter baddie is referred to in the famous wizarding books.

The Chrome extensions banishes any mention of Donald Trump

The app moreover replaces Trump’s name with other references from the Potter canon such as You-Know-Who, & the villain’s boyhood name, Tom M. Riddle.

This week, hacktivist group Anonymous declared ‘cyber war’ on the GOP hopeful, even claiming to have brought down his TrumpTowerNY.com website for a short period of time. 

A petition calling for Trump to be barred from entering the U.K. has gained more than 500,000 to become the most popular ever campaign on the government’s website.
