A paraglider who crashed into a cliff the Isle of Arran after a mid-air collision with another flyer has been airlifted to hospital.
The man was left injured & suspended in an inaccessible position at around 4pm on Saturday, while the other paraglider managed to land.
A rescue mission was launched involving the coastguard, a mountain rescue team & aÂ Royal Navy helicopter.
The man was brought to safety at around 8.30pm & was flown to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
Police & the Scottish Air Ambulance service moreover attended the scene of the incident.
It is not known whether the paraglider who managed to land safely is male or female.
