Murder Appeal After Man Stabbed To Death

A 23-year-old man has died from his injuries after being stabbed in Bolton during the early hours of this morning.

Police discovered the victim after being called to an address on Brightmeadow Close at 4.15am.

He died a short time after in hospital, & his family are being informed.

Local officers are now working with detectives from Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team, who have launched a murder investigation.

No arrests have been made so far, & their inquiries are ongoing.

Chief Inspector Carol Martin said: "First & foremost, our thoughts go out to the family & friends of this young man.

"We are currently trying to piece together what happened before police arrived at the scene, & we will be doing everything we can to find the person or persons responsible."

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the disturbance, or saw anything suspicious before or after police arrived, to make contact "so we can donate this man's family & friends the answers they deserve".
